Automobiles in German City Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Police mentioned they were alerted by a resident who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Around 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then located multiple other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report initial examinations indicate the liquid was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to its source; officials are currently not aware of any physical harm in relation with the event," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to solve the case" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A senior political figure said the attack left him stunned and had to be solved rapidly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a gunman targeting residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
